Key Features of BUNN VPR Series

BUNN VPR Series Overview

BUNN’s compact and completely portable commercial brewer, the VPR Series is perfect for keeping moderate quantities of coffee hot for self-service purposes.

These brewers are compatible with two different styles of serving containers:

  • Standard thermal or glass serving carafes
  • BUNN airpots ranging from 1.9-3.0 L (0.50-0.79 gal)

Unfortunately, the carafes and airpots aren't included in the listed price.

With durable stainless steel construction, the VPR Series will withstand the wear of being moved around but has some heft to it.

At 29 lbs it weighs more than the 24 lb commercial brewers BUNN produces to brew a typical 64 oz pot, such as the VP17.

Pros
  • 29 lbs, self-contained, and portable
  • Durable stainless steel construction
  • Brews high quality coffee up to 3.0 L (0.80 gal) per serving
  • 2-year warranty
Cons
  • Doesn’t come with required carafes or airpots
  • Will struggle to brew advertised 14.8 L per hour
  • Doesn’t function above 5,000 feet elevation

About The Coffee Maven

Bryan De Luca

I'm Bryan but most people know me as The Coffee Maven. I grew up outside Boston, Massachusetts and received my Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Providence College. My first introduction to coffee was during my college days, when I used it as a source of caffeine to fuel late-night study sessions, but soon I became obsessed with the chemistry of coffee. How did changes to water temperature or contact time affect its taste? Why do beans from Africa taste fruity while beans from Indonesia taste spicy? I launched The Coffee Maven in February 2017 to explore these questions and help others brew their perfect cup. Welcome to my site, and thanks for reading!
